Masked Assailants Open Fire at Castaways Point Park; No Arrests Made |
Late Friday night, a violent incident at Castaways Point Park in Palm Bay left three individuals injured, including a 16-year-old girl.
According to the Palm Bay Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire just before midnight at the park located along Bay Boulevard.
Upon arrival, they discovered that masked suspects had approached a vehicle and opened fire on its occupants.
Inside the vehicle, a 21-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds, an 18-year-old man was grazed by a bullet, and a 16-year-old girl suffered a graze wound along with injuries from shattered glass.
All victims were transported to Palm Bay Community Hospital and are reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred during a gathering at the park.
There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that a black Mercedes-Benz sedan or SUV may have been involved in the incident.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
The Palm Bay Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
