Late Friday night, a shooting at Castaways Point Park in Palm Bay resulted in injuries to three individuals, including a teenager.
Palm Bay Police responded to reports of gunfire near Palm Bay Road and Main Street at approximately 11:58 p.m. An initial search yielded no immediate evidence of a shooting. However, around 12:12 a.m. Saturday, Palm Bay Community Hospital alerted authorities that three gunshot victims had arrived for treatment.
The victims include a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, an 18-year-old man with a graze wound, and a 16-year-old girl who sustained a graze wound and injuries from broken glass. All injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Investigations revealed that the shooting occurred during a gathering at Castaways Point Park, located at 2990 Bay Boulevard. The victims were seated inside a vehicle when approached by individuals wearing ski masks, who then fired into the vehicle.
Reports suggest a black Mercedes sedan or SUV may have been involved, but this information remains unconfirmed. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Palm Bay Police Department or CrimeLine.
